Visionary Spotlight: Ray Dean Shaping the Future

The Visionary Spotlight at IBSA USA is dedicated to sharing the stories of the company’s leaders and future leaders, with a focus on their professional backgrounds, success stories, and especially the strategies they employ to grow the company’s existing portfolio and future product pipeline.

As Regional Sales Director for the West Coast team at IBSA USA, Ray Dean aims to create a culture of “excitement, passion, and success,” where he helps his team execute their sales plan and supports them in their professional development. Over the years, Ray himself has moved from sales to marketing to district field manager. In 2018, when IBSA USA presented him with an opportunity to lead its west coast hiring process, Ray seized the day, inspired by the company’s innovative, patient-centered products.


Ray has watched IBSA USA’s culture develop and mature. He has come to deeply admire the company’s overall vision, and especially its commitment to integrity, trust, and accountability. Ray also finds that one of IBSA USA’s greatest strengths is its focus on people. He is proud of the company’s family-like culture, which promotes employee openness, collaboration and teamwork, as well as a willingness to “wear multiple hats.” He is also inspired by the company’s long-term goal to grow the US market. One of his greatest pleasures is hearing from Health Care Providers (HCPs) about the company’s positive impact on patient health.  


For Ray, IBSA’s core pillars of Innovation and Responsibility loom large. He admires the company’s ability to take time-tested molecules and improve them through innovations with the goal of enhancing patient outcomes. In terms of Responsibility, he sees this pillar in action across various company operations, and especially in the seriousness with which his sales reps provide accurate, up-to-the-minute information to healthcare professionals. Ray holds himself and his team to a very high standard, implementing the goal of “1% improvement from a day-to-day perspective”.


In the next 5-10 years, Ray looks forward to watching IBSA USA evolve into a major player in the US market as it introduces new products from its pipeline. He also plans to do all he can to keep his team happy and motivated because he feels that their passion will drive further success. Ray looks forward to watching IBSA USA and its salesforce grow as the company continues to enhance the lives of America’s patients.
