Kim Kulekowskis, Senior Manager Sales and Leadership Training, creates and oversees all training initiatives at IBSA USA, leveraging her love of teaching to help others learn and grow. In this work, she feels driven to ensure that team members can communicate information about IBSA products that is meaningful and impactful to healthcare professionals and patients.

Kim has designed and implemented a wide range of training programs, from foundational onboarding and field development initiatives to advanced sales and leadership courses. Kim’s proudest accomplishment at IBSA USA, has been the creation of the Leadership Development Program. This initiative combines monthly competency-based learning with a two-day experiential class, culminating in group projects or presentations to assist various Home Office departments. It’s a program uniquely tailored to IBSA USA’s needs, one that she is excited to expand to more employees in the future.

In addition to overseeing the training programs, Kim also works in the field to identify training gaps, assists with candidate interviews, and partners with other departments to create content, organize, and facilitate sales meetings. She loves that her work activities are fast-paced and involve multiple projects.

Not surprisingly, among IBSA’s four pillars, the Person pillar resonates most deeply with Kim. She believes everything at IBSA revolves around people, both the employees who drive the Company’s success and the patients who benefit from its products. In her view, without smart, hardworking, professional and fun people, no other pillar matters. As a training manager, she views it as her responsibility to convey this “people-first” philosophy to new hires, setting the tone for their careers and fostering a culture that values empathy and commitment to patient care.

Kim further describes the IBSA USA culture as “constantly evolving,” with the leadership team prioritizing transparency, accountability, and positivity. Since starting at IBSA USA almost four years ago, she has seen the company strengthen its commitment to fostering a supportive environment where employees work hard and play hard. She has also come to deeply value IBSA USA’s emphasis on collaboration. Working with colleagues and teams across IBSA broadened her perspective and provides great learning experiences.

Over the long term, Kim envisions significant growth for IBSA USA’s Sales Training Department as the company’s product portfolio expands. In the next five to ten years, she hopes to see the department evolve into a Leadership and Sales Excellence team, offering resources not only for sales but also for the professional development of all IBSA USA employees. Her goal is to foster a culture of training excellence that could one day be deployed beyond US borders.

In the meantime, Kim is excited about IBSA USA’s growth. She values the company’s openness to new ideas and its willingness to implement innovative changes swiftly. With promising new products on the horizon, she feels optimistic about IBSA’s potential to expand its impact in the US and beyond.
